Talent Management Truths

Creating Space for Strategy with Katrina McFadden

Lisa Mitchell Episode 95

“What is going to bring the BIGGEST impact to the organization and how do we do it in the most efficient way possible?”
- Katrina McFadden

How do you build strategy into your work?  Does strategy work occur annually?  At the end of each week?  During quarterly all team meetings?  Or is it baked into the day to day?  Today’s guest has a helpful philosophy around how to keep strategy top of mind even when it’s early days and much work is still manual.

My guest is Katrina McFadden. Katrina is currently Chief People Office of Organigram, a Cannabis company.  She is an experienced Human Resources leader who has worked across several industries including telecommunications, manufacturing and consumer goods.  Throughout her more than 20-year career she has worked with organizations such as ArcelorMittal, TELUS and now Organigram, helping organizations earn accolades for innovative programs focused on people.   As an authentic leader and with an established history of shifting culture and driving transformation she is a driving force behind her organization's success.  Katrina holds a Bachelors of Applied Science in Engineering from the University of Waterloo as well as a Masters of Business Administration from McMaster University.
